About

My career started in theatre prop and window display making and dressing after 2 years at KIAD art college with graphic design qualification from Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design prior to that.
The Crackled Horse started with a little vintage wooden horse bought in a Swiss brocante in 2001.
It had a lovely naive shape but was in need of TLC.
I gave it a new lease of life with a paint effect, new horse tail and polished wheels and reliased I loved painting on wood.
Furniture, gifts and accessories followed and I began to sell at school fairs and craft events working from my studio, The Loft Room.
I was asked to personalise things, plan things for weddings and much more and from there, my cottage industry grew.
From craft fairs to prop designs to Christmas Grotto building, I will consider most projects beyond my range of products available here.

Please be aware that all work is hand produced by me and not mass made, therefore uniformity and changes may occur due to supplier changes and availability.
However, I will communicate any changes that will alter or jeopardise a product.
